Video Localisation

LS-Localise is one of the very few localisation companies which offers an in-house video localisation service. Our studio is equipped with the tools and experience to edit video files in-house, adding soundtracks and/or subtitles in whatever style and language you require. We also offer a full transcription service in any language.

Subtitle Translation

Subtitle Translation

One way to localise a video is to add subtitles in the target languages. This is a far less expensive process than producing foreign language voice-overs, and LS-Localise have the in-house facilities to add subtitles to any video, in any language.

Adding subtitles may involve the transcription of the original audio, followed by the translation of the subtitle text, and finally the addition of the translated subtitles to the video.

Our studio team is very experienced in adding subtitles on many cloud based video hosting platforms, including YouTube, Brightcove and Kaltura. These services use separate caption files, and this makes the production of multi-language versions of your videos more efficient in terms of both cost and deployment. Please contact us for more information if this service is of interest.

Multilingual Voice Overs

Multilingual Voice Overs

Foreign language voice-overs are often required for presentations, Flash and regular videos, narration of documentaries, animations etc. and of course websites which might contain any of these. We take care to select the most appropriate voice talent for the job and we will usually offer a selection for our clients to choose from.

LS-Localise will of course translate the script where required to our usual quality standard, and, unlike many language service companies, we can take the project to completion with final editing of the video and/or Flash files in-house.

Audio Transcription

Audio Transcription

One way to to translate a video with foreign language audio, which is less expensive than creating a foreign language version of the actual audio, is to use the transcription process.

Transcription is the process of converting the spoken word, usually from a recording, into the written word. Of course in a linguistic context this will normally include translating the text after transcription. We can transcribe and translate both audio and video files, supplying them in a wide range of languages and file formats, specialising in rapid turnaround and fast delivery – anywhere in the world.

We are equally at home transcribing an English recording before translating the text into one or more foreign languages, or, more usually, we are asked to transcribe a recording in a foreign language and translate it into English. Either way, LS-Localise is happy to help.
